Fishing on the Costa Rican Central Pacific shore is one of the most sought-after attractions by tourists. Costa Cat Cruises has now a new boat, which brings you an excellent possibility of an exceptional fishing experience. We invite you to fish in our Take It Easy, a 27-foot Morgan, sailing from Marina Los Sueños. In this blog, we share information about our Take It Easy and what you need to know before fishing in Costa Rica.

Meet Take It Easy

Our 27-foot Morgan is designed specifically for fishing experiences. It is powered by twin 140 horsepower engines and it cruises at 35 knots, ensuring your needs for inshore and offshore fishing trips. It has a maximum capacity of 4 passengers, which offers a personalized experience. Our boat also has Shimano rods and reels, electric reels for deep drop fishing, Garmin GPS and fish finder, outriggers, VHF radio equipment, a live bait well, and a center console layout.

Captain Javier Enriquez Solano, who has over 20 years of experience as a captain, will sail the boat throughout your fishing experience. His experience and our fully insured and equipped boat (with life jackets and safety equipment) will guarantee a safe and amazing ride. You may choose a full-day charter a three-fourth of a day charter, a half-day charter, or you may choose to fish and visit Tortuga Island on the same day. If you wish to set up a different tour, please contact us.

What to know before coming to fish in Costa Rica

The best time to go fishing in Costa Rica is during the dry season, which goes from November to April. So if you are planning your trip and you love fishing, these are the best months to come down to this tropical paradise.

An important note is that to come aboard Take It Easy, all participants must have a fishing license. You may obtain your license at INCOPESCA at Marina Los Sueños or you may contact us and we may assist you in the process. This is not included in our tours, so you must request assistance if necessary.
