Pack Perfectly for Costa Rica!

Pack Perfectly for Costa Rica!

Does your tour to Central America include coming to Costa Rica? Let’s check out what Costa Rica is all about so that you can pack the essentials, specific to your trip!

Costa Rican Geography and Other Fun Facts:

Costa Rica spans 51,100 km²! 440 km² of that area is water. Bordered to the North with Nicaragua, and to the South with Panama, Costa Rica has both Caribbean and  Pacific coastlines. It’s along our coastlines where you’ll see that nature has worked its magic, creating intricate Peninsulas, Gulfs, and Bays with extraordinary sites to see.

From North-East to South-East you’ll find four long mountain ranges. These majestic beauties are the hearts of the country’s river sources, flowing into the ocean. Make sure you know which region you’re headed to during your stay, to ensure that you can assemble the lightest and most wardrobe-appropriate suitcase possible! Weather, humidity and tourist attractions vary greatly from region to region!

The center of Costa Rica hosts our Central Valley; the political capital of the country and where the largest population of people live. Here, you’ll find the Juan Santamaría International Airport, which receives more than 80% of the country’s air tourism.

Volcanoes, epic beaches, rolling hills, and National Parks are just a few of the treasures to discover on your trip to the rich coast.

Climate and Seasons:

Costa Rica doesn’t have the traditional four defined seasons such as summer, fall, winter and spring. You will hardly be cold in this country, with an average daily temperature of 20º C. All you’ll need is a light jacket, and perhaps a tent or warm accommodation if you’re planning to hike or explore the cooler mountainous areas.

Costa Rica experiences its dry season from November to April, and the “green” (rainy season) from May to November. We have tropical, warm climate here, with variations in humidity. While the colorful Caribbean side is very humid, the  popular Pacific coast is much drier in comparison.

It’s off the Pacific Coast that we invite you to explore the most beautiful, uninhabited islands and secluded, water access only beaches in the country!

Be Enchanted By Our Excursions:

On behalf of the bilingual Costa Cat crew, we invite you to enjoy one of the most famous areas of the Pacific coast in the most safe and natural way possible (more than 60,000 passengers have already verified it).

Our Catamaran excursion to Isla Tortuga, just a 1 ½ hour drive from San José, departs daily from Los Sueños Resort & Marina, in Playa Herradura.

For this excursion, as for almost all tours in Costa Rica, a bathing suit, towel, and change of clothes are essential. Diving into the ocean, or the pool at your vacation accommodation, is a tempting luxury that very few can resist; especially when the water is warm, crystal clear and surrounded by lush nature.

In addition to cruising in our luxury catamaran, we offer kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, banana boat rides, and several other activities as part of the tour. Head to our website now to make your reservation and experience Costa Rica the way it should be experienced! (Link below)
